Testimonials
“Rich has opened my eyes to look beyond just the “present day” and think about the future I envision for myself both professionally and personally. He encouraged me to think about my “Desired Future State,” something I had never put much thought into before and how the small micro steps I take today can help make that vision a reality. He has a very thoughtful, honest, compassionate, and empathetic style to his leadership and that comes through very evidently in his mentoring. Rich places a great deal of importance on personal development and encourages one to have a growth mindset in order to become a better version of oneself. By sharing his own personal experiences and learnings that have helped him throughout the years, he has inspired me to think about my own leadership skills and what I would want to embody as I grow in my career. Thank you for being a leader that continues to empower others.”

“I have had the pleasure in participating in Rich Arriaga’s mastermind sessions. The sessions promote awareness and growth towards becoming your best self (asset) on a personal and professional level. He accomplishes this by sharing his experiences that have helped him through the years. Rich has helped me to develop a positive outlook on how I represent myself by having a can-do attitude and how to incorporate healthy good habits into my daily routine to achieve growth and development in life’s journey. His style of mentoring emphasizing one step, one change, one day at a time, change one bad habit into a good habit increases one’s chances to be the BEST version of oneself. I applaud Rich for fixing this sentence for me “I am just an administrative assistant” to “I am a great administrative assistant, who brings value to the teams I support”. That restructured sentence is a better representation of who I am and makes me feel proud to say it. Rich is a great leader that empowers others, I recommend him as a mentor/coach. I am thankful for the opportunity to have crossed paths with him, have him as a mentor and to participate in his mastermind sessions. Rich connects with his mentees, he is professional, encouraging and supportive of helping develop you to be and do your very best at everything you do.”

“My best decision in the last couple of years was to reach out to Richard and start with weekly coaching sessions to develop leadership skills in terms of managing people. When I contacted Richard, I was about to start looking for career opportunities as an individual contributor, as I didn't feel competent for leading people. After a few coaching sessions, I changed my mind, because Richard made me see and believe that I can learn and acquire skills to do it, and my motivation to develop myself in this area increased remarkably, what prompted me to act. I'm managing to apply what I'm learning during the sessions little by little I'm already seeing the results. The sessions with Richard make me reflect a lot and bring insights, and the most valuable thing is the change of mindset. Before I didn't believe in people, I attributed the mistakes to lack of will, I didn't believe in what people are capable of doing, and after a few sessions I started to believe in people and I started to act differently with them, as someone who cares and believes in them and with that my days have changed to better, I feel more confident and empowered to work with people and I'm happy to know I don't have to give up of my current position. I just have to thank Richard for that, an amazing coach and leader!”

“I would like to express my sincere thanks to Rich for all the support I received attending his coaching sessions during the last year: with such positive inputs and suggestions, I was driven to deeply understand my desires and aspirations, working to make them real in both my professional and personal life. Additionally, I am also collecting his daily notifications posted in our Company social network, which continue to inspire me: some of these suggestions are not applicable to my business role at the moment, but I save them for my future using them at present to better understand colleagues and leaders attitude and to have my best interaction with them.”

“I was fortunate to be part of Rich Arriaga’s leadership sessions this summer. Rich sets an encouraging tone to his workshop because he relates to young professionals by understanding their personal and professional goals. He combines leadership theory and practice. Leadership is not only about learning but more importantly, application. The session time is about how you recognize and build upon your own talents. Rich serves as guide to help you achieve your goals. He draws upon personal anecdotes to demonstrate how his experiences embodied a certain skill or habit. Similarly, we share our own perspectives and push ourselves to imagine how we will apply these skills in our own lives. This combination approach makes the material feel personalized and not prescriptive. My key takeaways from the sessions: overcome your self-limitation; trust the quality of your work without relying on external praise, and being a leader also means letting other people shine. Even before the end of our sessions, I observed how I was applying my takeaways both in my work and my personal life. I will continue to apply these skills future in both professional and personal capacities. Thank you! I recommend Rich Arriaga to anyone who wants to improve their leadership skills because he will help you achieve your best self.”

“My weekly sessions with Rich Arriaga helped me learn how to grow personally, professionally, and academically. I now look at each day as an opportunity to be better than yesterday, one small step at a time. I am much better at organizing my time and spending it wisely rather than wasting it. I think more critically and am much more encouraged to surround myself with people who have similar ideals as me and who want to grow every day. I cannot thank Rich enough for the knowledge he bestowed upon me.”

“Rich has played an integral role in the growth and development of our Pfizer Lake Forest Women Resource group colleagues through bi-weekly coaching and mentoring sessions. Rich creates a safe environment for sharing. He uses a very effective approach by asking the colleagues to share their learnings based on his SOAP model:
S - What do you want to say in one statement?
O - What is the ONE thing that resonated with you?
A - What "Action" can you take and how can you "Apply" immediately (within 24-48 hours)?
P - Who can you share this with to help to grow more Leaders?
Rich has helped to build and enhance our colleague’s skill sets and has also helped to foster a sense of community within Lake Forest. Thank you, Rich, for paying it forward and for your commitment to learning and development!”
